This is the first post of my new blog dedicated to helping my energy consultants. I hope to fill this blog with great marketing secrets and tips on a regular basis. But this first post I want to pitch Ambit Energy a bit. This what I truly be lieve and that is you have a wonderful opportunity to build a business with a company that is on the cutting edge of energy conservation. As a consultant you may easily incorporate this business into any other sales venture.
Ambit energy has its’ energy contract with Shell Oil. One of the largest energy suppliers in the country. Deregulation of electricity and natural gas will only happen once. We are in the right place at the right time.

But even with those facts you should know most people fail at network marketing. It’s a proven statistic that within 3 months 70% of the people that sign up for an MLM will dropout.

I am a prime example of this statistic because in my first attempt at network marketing over 20 years ago I did exactly that. In less than 90 days I quit. So while that may not qualify me to divulge why so many people fail. It certainly gives me some insight into why I did. And what I can pinpoint it down to is poor mentoring.  I didn’t like the way my coach expected me to recruit.  I found the expectations and pressures and to recruit friends and family unacceptable. I am not saying you can’t or shouldn’t do that just that it wasn’t right for me. So that was it for my Network experience. If recruiting meant begging friends family and neighbors I wanted no part of it.

So you may ask what has changed for me since then?  Why would I reconsider network marketing? The fact is back then I had a bad coach. If the only way  I was going to grow is by begging family I was doomed for failure because that wasn’t going to work for me. I knew that then but I didn’t understand how to do things differently. And I had no one to train me otherwise.  I needed a coach that could show me there are much better ways to recruit and promote and train then begging.

Of the thousands of people who have been successful in MLM or Network marketing most of them will tell you about they had a partner or person they worked with and learned from which contributed to their success. Multi-level Marketing is about team work to make the dream work but with all the competition out there if you truly want success you need proven methods to recruit and promote!.
